Early Summer Delight Smoothie Recipe

smoothies_peachPop your fresh strawberries and peaches in the freezer for an hour then mix with yogurt and orange juice for an early summer smoothie that your kids cannot resist.  For a special summer treat freeze this smoothie in paper cups and place in freezer for a great dessert.

Ingredients
2 cups frozen strawberries
2 cups frozen peaches
¼ cup plain yogurt
¼ cup orange juice

Directions
Blend ingredients until you have a smooth consistency. Serve immediately. Serves two

Raspberry Mango Citrus Delight

2 oranges (peeled, membrane removed – you want the pulp only)
¼ cup yogurt
¼ cup mango nectar

anana.jpbgI love mango. Mixed with Banana and Orange this smoothie is one of my favorites. Mangoes are known to have many health benefits. In addition, in some parts of the world, mangoes are also though to be an aphrodisiac. Bottoms up!

Ingredients
1 cup mango, chunks
1 banana
2 oranges, pulp only (remove the membrane)
1/4 cold water
3 ice cubes

Directions

3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
5 or 6 ice cubes
