Pina Colada Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups pineapple
2 bananas
2 tablespoons of coconut milk
¼ cup plain yogurt
¼ cup pineapple juice
Directions
Blend ingredients until you have a smooth consistency. Serve immediately. Serves two.

Coconut milk has many uses, most of which build up the immune system and the body’s defenses. To take advantage of the health benefits I add it to this yummy pineapple/strawberry smoothie.

Ingredients

2 cups pineapple chunks

1 cup strawberries

1 tablespoon coconut milk

¼ cup pineapple juice

Directions

Blend ingredients until you have a smooth consistency. Serve immediately. Serves two

3 cups pineapple chunks (preferably fresh)
2 tablespoons coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
juice of half a lemon
6 tablespoons of pineapple juice (you can also substitute apple juice)
5 ice cubes

Directions
Blend ingredients until you have a smooth consistency. Serve immediately. Serves two.

Our Pineapple Coconut Smoothie recipe will bring you back to a tropical setting. Did you know that the season for pineapple runs from March through June? Fortunately, pineapples are available year-round in local markets. Pineapples are an excellent source of manganese, vitamin c, vitamin b1 and b6. Serve our smoothie recipe the next time you are entertaining guests for a barbecue.

1/4 cup of pineapple juice
